Exergy analysis is one method for studying of energy efficiency and optimization for systems and machines including dryers. Fluidized bed dryers despite widespread usage have low energy efficiency. Therefore a new method has been proposed that the fluid bed drying has been combined with thick (FIX) bed dryer as outlet air from the fluidized bed section is conducted to the thick bed section for drying the other material or same kind material that existed in the first section. Experiments were performed in three temperatures, 50, 60 and 70oC and three bed depth in down, fluidized bed drying, 4, 6 and 8 cm and two beds depth in up, batch bed drying, 6 and 8 cm. The results show that exergy loss of top floor is lower than down floor. And also increasing in bed depth of down floor causes increasing in exergy loss of top floor. But exergy loss of down floor decreases with increasing in bed depth of top floor.

In this paper, we introduce the notions of (ʘ,⊕) -derivations and (ϴ,ʘ) -derivations for MV -algebras and discuss some related results.We study the connection between these derivations on an MV -algebra Aand the derivations on its boolean center. We characterize the isotone (ʘ,⊕) -derivations and prove that (ϴ,ʘ) -derivations are isotone. Finally we determine the relationship between (ʘ,⊕) -derivation and (ϴ,ʘ) -derivation for MV -algebras.

Ian McEwan’ s Solar has been the subject of many a debate, mostly due to its controversial representation of climate change’ s cause and the solution offered for the global disaster. The paper explores the novel’ s judgment over climate change’ s fountainhead and the protagonist’ s vain project to save the earth. The scope of the study encompasses the narrator’ s accounts of the characters and events in the story. In the light of David Harvey’ s notion of ‘ spatial FIX, ’ the study, through a close reading of the novel, focuses on the context within which the story unfolds in order to elaborate on the transformation of the earth into a globalized monolithic built environment called ‘ the planet’ for the sake of efficiency and free flow of capital and commodities. It also argues that the protagonist’ s solar energy generation project is a neo-liberal initiative to replace a less lucrative production mode and tackle the system’ s critical spell of overaccumulation, rather than global warming.

This paper studies a discrete FIX-up limit policy for two systems. Because sometimes, a failed system cannot be completely FIXed at the optimal FIX-up limit time due to some logistic issues. This paper provides a chance to complete FIXing up a failed system within a discrete FIX-up limit time LT (L=1,2,3…) for a FIXed T. The explicit expression of the expected long-term cost per unit time is derived for the two systems based on the assumptions of the systems. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the theoretical results of the proposed model.
